Would appreciate if someone could help me on how to workaround this enumeration problem? I believe the HID devices are ok as long as this "Microsoft 2.4GHz Transceiver V1.0" driver is installed properly. But in Win2000 case, "DeviceDesc" is the same as "LocationInformation" which is "Microsoft 2.4GHz Transceiver V1.0". "DeviceDesc"="USB Composite Device" "LocationInformation"="Microsoft® 2.4GHz Transceiver V1.0" "Capabilities"=dword:00000084 "UINumber"=dword:00000000 "HardwareID"=USB\Vid_045e&Pid_071d&Rev_0250 USB\Vid_045e&Pid_071d "CompatibleIDs"=USB\DevClass_00&SubClass_00&Prot_00 USB\DevClass_00&SubClass_00 USB\DevClass_00 USB\COMPOSITE "ClassGUID"="\0051 in my WinXP. The VID and PID for the transceiver seems to be Vid_045e&Pid_071d Comparing the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\Vid_045e&Pid_071d\5&2eff1ceb&0&2: WinXP Registry for USB enumeration: = Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 i always get a unknown device in device manager when this happens, ive seen it change to generic hub once ive reset the bios. i turn it off go to bed wake up turn it on and the devices that are connected to those ports dont work. Microsoft Corporation website is Microsoft Corporation Corporate Number or numbers : +1 42. hi i have this re occuring problem, usb ports 3 and 4 stop working and the only way to get them to start working again is to hit the reset bios button on the backplate. Microsoft Corporation (USB\VID045E) address is Microsoft Corporation. click next -> Selected "CD-ROM drives" with the product CD inside CDROM drive, click next -> Says "Windows was unable to locate a driver for this device" I have tried this on WinXP and it is ok. USB\VID045E or USB Vendor ID 045E recognizes Microsoft Corporation as the USB Vendor and manufacturer of devices listed below. > Clicked Next -> Selected "Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)". However the included USB Wiresless Transceiver does not seem to gel well with my Win2000 SP4 (installed by my company IT dept) It starts to indicated "Found New Hardware" (Microsoft 2.4GHz Transceiver V1.0), and followed by the "Found New Hardware Wizard".
After installing the Intellipoint and Intellitouch software (probably some drivers where preinstalled?), i began to insert the USB transceiver as instructed. This product has stated that it supports Windows 2000 SP4 and above.
Hi, I recently just got my self a Microsoft Ergonomic Wireless Desktop 7000.
